Is it possible that the hatred of one common enemy is so strong, that one-time enemies can unite, become friends and collaborate to oppose, destroy or kill that common enemy? Absolutely! This principle was carried out in the times of Christ, which serves as a template for the hatred and opposition that Christ’s followers will face when the entire world will be arrayed against them for their firm adherence to the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus. “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake” Matthew 24:9. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” Revelation 12:17. Just before Christ’s crucifixion, the Bible records, “And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him [Jesus], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate. And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves” Luke 23:11 and 12. It was religious leaders who initiated the death of Jesus, and thus the woeful account is recorded, “…I was wounded in the house of my friends” Zechariah 13:6.
To a great extent, this principle is already being carried out toward those of Muslim background, from both an ethnic and religious standpoint, just as was prophesied in Genesis 16:11 and 12 concerning Ishmael, from whom Muslims and the religion of Islam trace their lineage. However, based on the same premises for which various nations, religions and denominations have forged unions/friendships to oppose “radical” Muslims, those whom they collectively consider fundamentalists, those who oppose the “common good” ideology, a Roman Catholic social teaching— which is nothing more than a one-world religion supported by a one-world government, will be vehemently persecuted.
One need not look into the future for such unions to be formed, it is taking place now through an initiative being pushed by the interfaith organization known as the Elijah Faith Institute called “Make Friends.” Some of the notable leaders or “friends” involved include “Pope Francis, the Dalai Lama, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Chief Rabbis David Lau and Jonathan Sacks, Sri Ravi Sankar, Amma and many other prominent religious leaders.” The headline says it all, “World’s top religious leaders issue rare joint appeal; ‘our advice is to make friends to followers of all religions.’” If a person becomes a friend and then a follower of all religions, that means that all religions have become one and there is no diversity in belief or worship, there is a general commonality. This is exactly what is stated within the piece: “‘Make Friends’ is an initiative of the Elijah Interfaith Institute, an interfaith organization with offices in Israel and the United States. In a press release, organizers said the project’s mission is to counter the idea that people view each others’ religions with distrust or disdain ― and to potentially even reduce violence conducted in the name of religion…The 22 leaders involved in the appeal represent a wide spectrum of religious beliefs ― Sikhism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Each leader contributed a personal statement specifically for the purposes of this project.”
The stated objective of this initiative is to counter the idea that people regard other religions with distrust or disdain, or we could say protest. It is interesting that the word counter is used. During the time of the Protestant Reformation, a counter (or Catholic) Reformation was undertaken, of which the principle agency in countering the Protestant Reformation was the cruel and unscrupulous Jesuit order. So it is today, the Jesuit Pope and the system of iniquity that he represents, along with the other ungodly religions involved in this ecumenical body, are trying to counter any protest (criticism, exposure disdain) against this one-world religion as well as against the iniquities carried out by the entities involved. Therefore, no true Protestant could ever be a part of such an unholy alliance with the very elements that want to wipe them out of existence and silence their message.
That the Elijah Faith Institute is endeavoring to establish a one-world religious body, with a central headquarters, their tower of Babel, cannot be disputed; that goal is stated right on its official website. “The HOPE vision – a House of Prayer and Education – the first interfaith center in Jerusalem…“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.” HOPE seeks to translate this vision into a reality of sharing prayer for peace by Muslims, Christians, Jews and others, praying in their respective spaces, under one roof. There is not a single institution in all of Jerusalem in which its religions share and come together. There is no interreligious center anywhere in the Holy Land that is frequented by members of the three religions and there is absolutely no sense of the possibility of sharing a site or a place of worship, as a means of seeking to express and deepen the quest for peace and harmony between Jerusalem’s religions. In fact, there is no such center anywhere in the world…It also seeks to involve members of all religions, East and West, in the creation of the world’s most visible interfaith center, in a city that more than any city globally represents the coming together of different faith traditions, thereby providing a symbol for the potential of a better future.”
The very name of this institute is a lie. From its website: “The spirit of Elijah is wisdom, inspiration, friendship and hope across religious traditions. Elijah deepens understanding among religions. Elijah’s mission is to foster unity in diversity, creating a harmonious world. Elijah’s message: The world’s great religions radiate wisdom that can heal the world. Deep level spiritual conversation across interreligious lines enriches our inner lives, enhances our prayer and opens our hearts. Discover unity and embrace diversity. We are many and we are one.” To take on the name of Elijah is a mockery to the message, mission, life and character of Elijah. Elijah in no wise made friends or formed any alliance with Jezebel (a representation of Roman Catholicism, see 2 Kings 9:22; 1 Kings18:13; Revelation 17:1-5; Revelation 18:21,23; Revelation 2:18-23) or her prophets of Baal, neither did he endorse their false worship by worshipping at their altars and participating in their abominable rituals. He rather showed what true worship was, protested false worship and had Jezebel her prophets, her altars, her temples and her idols utterly destroyed.
While this union of world religions claims to pursue world peace, it will wage relentless war upon those who refuse to become “friends” with them and who refuse to willingly give up their individuals rights and believe in the acceptance of their solutions for “world peace,” which is nothing more than world domination. The unfortunate thing is that many, not because they agree, will become “friends” with the ungodly, but only to escape persecution; however in so doing, such will become the enemies of God, and thus crucify the Son of God afresh and put Him to open shame (James 4:4; Hebrews 6:6). The question comes, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Amos 3:3; so somewhere along the line, such individuals embraced a lie, because they had not received the love of the truth. Let us ever remember the admonition: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-16
